Naruto Ramen

I've been here twice and both times my ramen has stunk. On a positive note, their gyoza and their fried rice are quite good, but the ramen, which is why I would go here, is not.

This trip i ordered their special which came with diced pork and a spicy sauce. The diced pork was definitely there and much tastier than the dry, tough pork I had the first time I came here. The spicy sauce, however, was nowhere to be found. In fact, the biggest problem with this ramen dish was that it was missing flavor. I like flavor and don't enjoy food when it's not around. The noodles were crappy too.

Naruto is neat because everything is cooked right in front of you. As a benefit, you can be entertained by their cooking methods (possibly, although these guys are pretty boring) and as a negative, if one of the cooks decides to eat something, you can see that too. In his defense, the guy did try to conseal what he was doing by ducking down. Due to the shape of the counter, he blocked himself from the people against the far wall, but from where I was sitting I had a perfect view. I normally don't pay a lot of attention to what these guys are up to, but I was intrigued when he dug his hand into the corn and came out with a handful. He then ducked down into a squatting position and shoved it all in his mouth. It was awesome. Adios Naruto.
