Forbidden City

2nd Dinner. Not necessarily as good as first dinner, but then again, not really at all necessary in the first place. My friends are only here for two months so we're on the multiple dinner weight gain program. If getting fat ever becomes popular I'm going to package it and sell it in stores.

Forbidden City is an Asian fusion place that can't decide if it's a bar or a restaurant and is content with masquerading as both. Since this was second dinner there was more drinking than food involved but the food we did order was pretty good.

We ordered two dishes, the salt and pepper squid and the shrimp toast. The squid, fried of course, was really good when consumed with two or three of the tiny jalapeno pieces it was littered with. The shrimp toast was really tasty but I would have been happier if the toast was a little less toasted. It's my first experience with this dish so I don't know if the toast is always that way, but blackened toast wasn't what I was hoping for.
