Grimaldi's

Grimaldi's is fantastic. We went on a Saturday and as it's located under the Brooklyn Bridge (in Brooklyn) we walked the bridge and built up an appetite for delicious pizza.

We arrived at Grimaldi's and found a long line, almost as if Grimaldi's were a club. We thought about bailing and coming back during the week but we had walked across an entire bridge (it's really not that far) to get here so we weren't going to let a line deter us. Also, there is a really good ice cream place about 200 feet down the road from Grimaldi's that kept us busy while we waited (yes, I ate ice cream before I ate my dinner).

The wait was only about half an hour and it was well worth it. We ordered two pizzas, a small cheese with garlic, and a small pepperoni. This was great pizza. It may have benefited from the fact that the night before I had eaten the worst pizza slice I've ever had, but i'm pretty sure that Grimaldi's would have been excellent regardless. With my pizza I had Olde Brooklyn root beer (root beer is my favorite pizza beverage companion) which was neat because we were in Brooklyn and the root beer had a picture of the bridge we crossed to get there. Other than that, it tasted like good root beer, similar to IBC.

Grimaldi's is great and will require a return visit.
